KPN Ventures recently invested in two promising startups that are active in the field of application security and digital collaboration. API Security provider Cequence as well as collaboration platform Qollabi recently received capital from KPN’s investment fund. Both startups could become an important addition to the Business Market.
“With our investment fund we invest in promising startups and scaleups and that works both ways,” says Wouter Stammeijer, Chief Strategy & Development Officer at KPN. “On the one hand, we accelerate the development of ideas, innovative products and applications from startups. This allows these young companies to grow and mature even faster. But we also strengthen our own offer to customers. Because through collaboration and smart partnerships, we can continue to improve our product range with even more creativity and a relatively short time-to-market.”
Cequence’s API Security solution, for example, can make a major contribution to KPN’s business customers to protect their applications. Cequence’s comprehensive analytics platform offers a full suite of solutions for discovering, categorizing, and protecting applications. This provides organizations and users with protection against a strong increase in API-oriented cyber-attacks on internet, mobile and IoT applications.
Qollabi offers a platform that companies use to collaborate easily and action-oriented with, for example, franchise offices and sales partners. This offers a solution for companies that want to professionalize, scale up, automate and, for example, want to successfully execute on quarterly plans together with sales partners. Qollabi’s software gives KPN the opportunity to significantly strengthen and further digitize the collaboration with sales partners in the SME segment.
